its meant to be fun not a simulation of real life. Multiplayer splitscreen framerate is absolutely unacceptable. i understand that the game uses real guns and attempts to provide some sort of realistic gameplay, but this is an arcade shooter.
if everything was completely realistic the good guys would have air strikes, helicopters, body armor, night vision, concussion grenades and the bad guys would have only a single ak47 with around 5 bullets to share with their whole team. this game was created to be a balanced multiplayer experience, or at least that was the idea. ill tell you what i told him: if you want realism go play modded arma 2. there is a guy in my clan who has been whining about the realism of the game and generally being a pain in the ass since the game released.
